Returning to the school where his own journey began, Shaun spoke with warmth, humility and clarity, sharing stories that spanned continents and challenges—from rigorous training to high-stakes missions. His message centred on resilience, teamwork, and the importance of character in the face of adversity.

Pupils listened intently as Shaun described the discipline and determination required in elite military service, and how lessons learned at SJCS helped shape his path. His talk sparked thoughtful questions and lively discussion, with many children expressing awe and admiration for his courage and commitment.

"It was amazing to hear how he stayed calm and worked with others even when things were really hard. It made me think about how I can be braver when I’m nervous."

Shaun’s visit was a powerful reminder of the values that underpin the SJCS community—curiosity, courage, and compassion—and how they can flourish long after pupils leave the classroom.
