On Sunday 8 March, runners took to the streets for the Cambridge Half Marathon. Although the weather was grey, the spirit throughout the day was anything but.
The St John’s College School Bursary Endowment Fund was proudly represented by a team of 13 runners made up of parents and staff, all wearing their red SJCS shirts. They were cheered on by an enthusiastic group of more than 30 St John's supporters gathered at our official cheer point on the corner of Barton and Grange Roads.
Our cheer point quickly became a hub of encouragement and energy. Supporters handed out water and Haribo to passing runners, while SJCS pupils enthusiastically high-fived participants as they ran past, giving them an extra boost along the route. The atmosphere was truly uplifting.
We are incredibly proud of our runners, who have already raised more than £6,800 for the Bursary Endowment Fund and the total is still rising. There is still time to donate and support this fantastic effort here.
