Before the end of Michaelmas Term we were delighted to host an intimate festive gathering for alumni and friends of St John’s, celebrating connection, community and the School’s rich history.
We were joined by over 50 alumni, past parents, governors and staff. Guests were welcomed by Rhys Paterson, Development Director, and addressed by Sarah Wright, Head Teacher.
The evening was enriched by displays of historical artefacts from chorister sketchbooks and Eaglet magazines dating back to the 1930s, to vintage uniforms and class photographs, all accompanied by the vinyl recording of the St John’s College School Choir singing the Queen’s Birthday Song in 1983. Guests also shared their own memories, adding them to our Christmas tree.
It was wonderful to see old friends reconnect, new conversations spark, and alumni looking ahead to the next generation joining St John’s.
This event marks the start of many more opportunities to bring our community together, and we look forward to welcoming everyone again soon.
